A solar-powered mesh designed to keep a masjid reachable when the internet and the grid are gone. Software only today — no node exists, and nothing is orderable.
MRN is designed as a solar and battery node at the masjid that serves local WiFi to the congregation and reaches neighbouring masajid over a LoRa mesh — they are already 200 to 800 metres apart, and minarets are the natural antenna mounts. The point is that prayer times, the athan, a Quran library and emergency alerts keep working with no internet at all. Today this is software only. A proof of concept runs; no node has been assembled, no enclosure designed, and no hardware purchase has been authorised. Nothing is orderable.
MRN is designed as the layer that keeps a masjid reachable when nothing else is. Its boundary with Haris is an open engineering question, and Awwad has ruled that MRN and the Live Athan broadcast substrate are one network seen from two angles — a reconciliation that has not yet been written.
There is no MRN kit to buy. No node has been built and no procurement has been authorised. When there is hardware, it will be announced at launch.
