Recovery

Calamity aid funded by investment yield on the pool — a program of qardon.org.

~1% — concept; activates when investment yield supports it

Calamity aid for accidents, illness, fire, and unexpected loss — open to Muslims and non-Muslims. Funded by investment yield on the qardon.org pool, never by the waqf principal. Surplus seeds new lending capital so every dollar of help becomes permanent revolving help. Competitive rates because overhead goes to community benefit, not to shareholders.

Recovery is NOT insurance. NOT takaful. NOT a policy. No premiums. No carriers. No deductibles. No underwriting. It is calamity aid — a charitable program of qardon.org funded by investment yield on the lending pool. Members participate as mutual aid, not as policyholders.

What it does

How it connects to the ecosystem

Recovery is the second leg of the qardon.org pool. The same membership, the same eProfile, the same dashboard. The lending pool funds rebuilding; Recovery funds the cushion that prevents people from needing to borrow.

Bootstrap-phase context: Recovery activates after the qardon.org pool reaches sufficient size and the investment portfolio generates yield sufficient to cover calamity claims. Pre-launch — currently building the pool first.

Want to participate?

Recovery membership and claim submission both happen at qardon.org. Join the pool there; participate in Recovery automatically once it activates.
